Waiting

Currently it seems God is teaching me patience. Due to the Navy, we no longer believe we will be living in Jacksonville, NC by the end of August, which was what Trenten's orders originally stated. Even though we have already found a house, put an offer on that house, and that offer has been accepted, we do not know if we are going to be able to live in that house. This week has been a big struggle for me. I like to have plans and know what is going on (alright, I like to be in control). But, I know that it needs to be God who in control. We are suppose to find out next week if we stay or go, but who knows, maybe we will go some place entirely different. We are just waiting "patiently" on God's will for our lives.

4th of July

It was a busy weekend! We had 2 brothers-in-laws come to visit. One, my brother Austin, we picked up from Camp Lejeune on Friday. We were able to go to Busch Gardens on Saturday (and even stay for fireworks, which turned out to be the only fireworks for us since it rained on the 4th). On Saturday night, Lew traveled from Ohio to Va Beach to deliver Trenten's motorcycle, which we are so thankful! Trenten bought it back in July of 2009, but it has been in his Grandmother's garage (much to her dismay). Our red car broke down last week, and to fix it will cost more than what it is worth. So, the motorcycle came at the best time! Monday, we had a cookout, and a couple of sailors came over from Trenten's ship. It was a good 4th! This weekend we start house hunting! Oorah!

Busy...

We've had a busy last couple of weeks. Trenten just came home from his last underway on the USS KEARSARGE (Hooray!!) We hope to have him home with us for the next year, at least. I've completed 2 classes for my MSN program in just under 12 weeks. We got pre-approved for our home loan, and are currently looking for a home to buy in the Jacksonville, NC area. We have enjoyed visits with family (although Trenten missed it :( And, we look forward to seeing Uncle Austin (the marine) this weekend!!! Lots of things going on, I'm trying to take the time to breath and to not be stressed out. The verse "Be still and know that I am God" is my moto for the the summer.

Why is it that this morning I felt like I have never exercised in my life? I only went a week without it, and in that week I still did some active things... It's going to take me awhile to get to the point I was before...

Reflecting on Father's Day

As tomorrow comes, I am reminded about my own relationship that I had with my father. To say that this relationship was a disappointment is an under statement. However, I was told (maybe by my Mom) long ago that I should look to the heavenly Father as even my Father here on earth. 


I am determined to look at the positive things today. So, I will say how thankful I am for a father-in-law who has willingly stepped up to act as my father. I can truly go to him with any issue or problem and know that I will get solutions or godly advice in return. 

My husband is an incredible father to our son Breyten. It sometimes makes me sad when I watch them together seeing all the things that I missed out on in a father. But, I am so joyful that my son will not miss out on those things. Trenten willingly steps in to change diapers, clean up after feeding, playing, anything that needs to be done. He only had about a month with Breyten before he left again (not for very long this time though!) But in that month, Breyten and him formed a close bond. Breyten woke up today saying "dad" and has been saying "dadad" all morning long. He misses him! I am very thankful to have a husband who is such a wonderful father!
