Being the Mommy of a Toddler...

There are a lot of things that Breyten has done before the average child does (granted there are things like crawling, walking, and talking that he did after the average child does...) However, hitting toddlerhood before he is technically a toddler has been quite a challenge! It is even more a challenge because he is so whinny due to the fact that he knows what he wants but he cannot say the words. He can point and show me and that works most of the time. I've contemplated sign language for him because I think it will help his frustration, but with moving in the next week, I don't have a lot of time to spend doing it... Maybe after the move... 


I have to say that this time period will not last forever, and I know I will miss it when he is older, but right now, it really is a challenge for me. Trenten was saying how blessed we were to have him as he was screaming bloody murder in the back of the truck... I just had to laugh because that's what's it has been like the last few weeks with him... 

The B-I-B-L-E

Breyten surprised Trenten and I last night by saying "Bible". It's his first two syllable word, and we couldn't be more thrilled that it was Bible! He doesn't associate it, yet, with the actual physical book. He associates it with the song "The B-I-B-L-E". He's really good at shouting "Bible" at the end of the song. It's really cute. We were able to call the grandparents on both sides to share his new word. They all say he is a genius!

October Update

We have been busy getting ready to move for next month. One of our biggest needs was another vehicle (we were sharing the Acura and Trenten was driving the motorcycle on nice days.) Saturday, we were able to purchase Trenten's "dream vehicle," a Toyota Tundra. It's very nice!

We were able to take Breyten to a fall festival down the street from our house. Here are some pics:

One Year Old Pics

For our anniversary, Trenten bought be a Canon Rebel T3i. I have really enjoyed taking pictures with it, and I plan to take all of our family pictures with it. I'm just a beginner, but I have really liked playing with all the different ways you can mess with the picture settings on the computer. My Proud Mommy Disney Moment

As some of you know, the last time Breyten had a doctor's appointment, he was a little behind in his vocabulary (by one word). Well, last week while we were at disney, we were riding the People Movers in the Magic Kingdom. It's a ride that looks down at other rides and one of those rides was the race car track. Breyten clearly pointed down at the race car track and said "car". I was so excited!!!! Just to be sure, though, I asked him again what he said. He pointed to the cars AGAIN and said "car". But, just to be super sure, we asked him again, and he said it AGAIN. "Car" is officially Breyten's 3rd word. YAY!
